K-12 Open Section
Jordan Joseph won the K-12 open section with a perfect 4-0 score. Jordan also wins a free prepaid entry to the North Carolina Open Championship to be held in Charlotte on September 3-5. Congratulations Jordan!

Combined K-8/K-5 Section
Will O'Tuel won the combined K-8/K-5 section with a perfect 4-0 score. Will turned in a dominating performance, especially considering he had not previously won any USCF-rated games! Look out everyone, Will is way stronger than his post-tournament rating 292 would indicate. Way to go, Will!
